HeadCount is a non-partisan organization that works with musicians to promote participation in democracy. HeadCount stage voter registration drives at concerts and run programs that translate the power of music into real action. By reaching young people and music fans where they already are – at concerts and online – we make civic participation easy and fun.
In 2004, Jay (Atomic6’s founder) helped to found HeadCount with Andy Bernstein (Phish’s Pharmers’ Almanac) and Marc Brownstein (the Disco Biscuits, Conspirator), and served as Headcount’s Director of Art & Technology for many years. Atomic6 maintained HeadCount’s public facing site and volunteer intranet. The custom developed intranet connected thousands of volunteers at hundreds of concerts a month and proved to be the back bone of HeadCount. HeadCount still continues to be a force among young voters and we encourage you to volunteer.
